These hair clip party favors are so cute. We made these to put in my daughter's birthday party goodie bags. They are easy to make, and the girls loved them.

My little crafter put together these hair clip party favors for her crafting birthday party this year. I think they turned out super cute!
Initially we were going to put these in the goodie bags for the girls to take home. However, we ended up deciding to make the hair clips all together at the party.
We gave each girl a bag when they arrived. And I set out hot glue guns for them all to use. She had so much fun making the hair clips together with her friends.

What Do I Need to Make These Hair Clip Party Favors?
These hair clip party favors were carefully curated by my little crafter. We bought some supplies on Amazon, some at Michaels, and I had some leftover from previous craft projects.
Here's what we put in these hair clip party favors. I'll link to some good products that will work well.
- Alligator hair clips
- Pom poms
- Resin flowers
- Handmade ribbon bow
- Self-sealing bags - like this one in iridescent pink

How to Make the Hair Clip Favor Bags
These hair clip party favors are easy to make. My little crafter more or less put the bags together all by herself.
I let her browse on Amazon and Michaels with me to chose what she liked. Then I helped her calculate how many of each items we would need to buy.

Alligator Clips
We put 10 alligator clips in each of the bags. We bought our alligator clips at Michaels, but here are clips on Amazon that look great. They are more flat on top, so it probably would work even better than the ones we used.
For reference, the alligator hair clips you see in the photo are 4 cm long. They hold 3-4 pom poms across, depending on how you squish them, and 3-4 resin flowers.
Pom Poms
Any pom poms would work for these diy hair clips. The purple and pink pom poms in the photos are ½" size. Some of the glitter pom poms you see in the photos are a bit smaller.
The ½" pom poms are easy for kids to handle. While cute, the smaller pom poms are a bit trickier to glue with a hot glue gun.
Resin Flowers
There are so many resin charms to chose from on Amazon. We went with flowers, but there are also bows, mermaid hearts, and more.
Ribbon Bow
We included 2 hand made ribbon bows in each of the goodie bags. My daughter and I made these ourselves.
She loves these these DIY Bow Hair Clips, but thought they might be a bit too tricky to make them at a party. Instead, she pre-made the bows to put in the party bags. That way, her friends could simply just hot glue and attach the bows onto the hair clips.
To make them, we first glued ribbon in a loop. Then, we wrapped a shorter piece of ribbon around the middle. It only took a few minutes to make all of them.

Giving These Hair Clip Party Favors in Goodie Bags
If you are putting these hair clip party favors in goodie bags to take home, I'd consider giving each kid a hot glue gun to take home too.
Hot glue guns cost around $2 each if you buy them in a set - here's a set of 12 or set of 24. Michaels also sells hot glue guns, and sometimes run 40% off entire purchase promotions.
For my daughter's crafting party, I provided the hot glue guns for the kids to use. I own a set myself because my daughter likes to have friends over to craft. I also lend my hot glue guns to their school classes if they are doing a project.
